English pronunciation[edit]

Does anyone know what the correct pronunciation is? My understanding is that the position of the long vowel symbol in /æʃː(ɹ)/ does not make sense. - excarnateSojourner (talk | contrib) 05:56, 2 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I would guess based on the spelling that the correct pronunciation is either /ɪə(ɹ)ʃ/ or /ɜː(ɹ)ʃ/. Tc14Hd (talk) 01:39, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps it's suppose to be an intentionally archaic pronunciation, but the esh is in the wrong spot: /æː(ɹ)ʃ/ (though it should technically be a diphthong to match Old English). I'll move the esh for now, but it won't be anything final. LapisCarrot (talk) 01:03, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
