Morphological decomposition[edit]

Affixation categories are great. But what about a stem/base like elektro?

You might consider {{base}} for the categorisation of derived/related terms in accordance with the needs of Template:eo. Ultimately you may want a language-specific approach, but there is a family of autocategorizing one-argument templates, which also includes {{morph}} (no current category, but an investment in the potential for future categorization) and {{derv}}). {{prefix}} and {{suffix}} can be used in pseudo-one-argument mode. Thus one had a comprehensive set of templates for prototyping what a morphological approach to eo might look like, with the minimal disruption of existing useful arrangements, principally the useful affix categories. See English entries like referent, reference, referential, referentiality, and ref for examples of use and refer, referent, reference, and referential for exploitation of the categories created.
