Request to clear up and extend etymology section[edit]

DWDS says that the edde(s) element in "etwas" is probably the same as the et- in "etlich". The Wiktionary entry currently compares this with Icelandic "eitthvað", which is a similar formation, but the eitt- element is not the same as the edde- in OHG. DWDS compares this morpheme to odo#Old_High_German and 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿, whose etymologies are also kind of unclear, is there another source for this connection? Someone should research and make entries for eddeshwaz#Old_High_German, the edde- or eddes- element, as well as their Middle High German equivalents, and the Etymology section of this entry should be extended.
