Job description[edit]

Sometimes a job description (or role/title) like (Chief) Evangelist can be read, with no relation whatsoever to religion.
Can someone add a definition? The (currently) last one doesn't make so much sense for a software or consulting company,e.g..--Mideal (talk) 13:41, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it not covered by "A person marked by extreme enthusiasm for or support of any cause"? For example, a Google evangelist could be someone who promotes and raises enthusiasm for their search engine. Equinox ◑ 13:43, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
