(Together with explicitise, explicitized, explicitised, explicitization, explicitisation and the diffs [1] [2] [3]) — very scattered uses, has cites on Google Books though. Personally, smells like a protologism, but I'm unsure. --Robbie SWE (talk) 10:10, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Definitely not a protologism: here's a use (without so much as scare quotes) from 1984. It does seem to be used especially by linguists (particularly those into things like pragmatics and discourse analysis), and may qualify as linguistics jargon. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 10:17, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I stand corrected! Thank you @Angr! --Robbie SWE (talk) 10:25, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
This snippet view, if you can see it, shows explicitized used in 1954. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 10:28, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have added two more quotes. It is now cited. Kiwima (talk) 01:48, 21 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
