"Cognotate with Dutch vijl and German Feile"[edit]

First of all, is 'cognotate' in Etymology 1 an existing English word? I'm not a native speaker and it appears to be in some other articles as well, but I couldn't find it in a dictionary and assume it should be 'cognate'. Then, at least the German 'Feile' refers to the tool only - is this really cognate to the first etymology (for the collection of papers)? 95.90.42.196 19:22, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
