What about "lover"?[edit]

English isn't my native language, but I thought that fill also meant lover, from Cat Stevens' song Lady D'arbanville. Doesn't it? 88.240.194.26 17:06, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In Albanian ¿derived or just cognate of "filum"?[edit]

In the etymology of the Albanian entry in "fill" it is stated that it cames from Latin filum. Has this been checked somewhere? It is not impossible but seems to be improbable because Albanian does not come from Latin. It could be a borrowed word, though, but it seems more probable that "fill" and "filum" are just cognates. --Piolinfax 11:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
