In the translations for English fir, a Thracian pusinas is listed. This needs to be verified, because very few Thracian words are actually attested (see the Wikipedia article, for example). Alexander 007 19:28, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Thracian cognate actually makes sense - if you look at the Bulgarian (in whose establishing as a language Thracien played a significant role) word for juniper (similar plant), you could conclude that phonetically хвойна (hvoyna) and pusinas shew certain similarity.
