Weak Keep. The fact that football match nearly always refers to Association football and football game nearly always refers to American football makes this idiomatic (the same is true to a lesser extent for home match and away match versus home game versus away game). Historically that hasn’t always been the case though as here we can see American Football games being repeatedly referred to as matches [1]. Overlordnat1 (talk) 07:43, 3 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • RFD-kept: no consensus for deletion after months. I don't wish to figure out whether the keeps should be overriden. A bare keep is no golden standard; should we disregard such keeps in future? If so, we should make an explicit decision to the effect, in Beer parlour at a minimum. If someone wants to close this differently, feel free. --Dan Polansky (talk) 10:28, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
