Help[edit]

This word comes from French and means rustling. I would add that to this entry except I'm not sure how to make this entry a English adjective and a French noun at the same time.

That help, then? --Connel MacKenzie 06:13, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Alt forms[edit]

Additional forms unmentioned by OED but show up clearly in Google Ngrams. Some have separate Urbandictionary entries, although that's obviously not a decent source on its own. — LlywelynII 08:57, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Verb sense[edit]

Oddly, the verb sense has an entry at the OED but they haven't cottoned to its adjectival use yet despite it now being primary. — LlywelynII 08:57, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Truly terrible format[edit]

Once I am on the Entry page, the definition of the word should be immediately evident, since it the number one reason that people looks words up here.

It is not even a little bit evident. Instead, one has to search all over the page for the definition of the word.

Suggestion: Put the definitions first before all the other gobbledegook. 2601:200:C000:1A0:F128:3DA5:B358:8B47 16:31, 25 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
