Really adjective?[edit]

Our analysis of this as an adjective is odd to me. Seems like a noun that is often used attributively. Compare something like "my birdbrain daughter" or "his numbskull friends". Equinox 22:46, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

In every citation I found, galaxy-brain is modifying a noun or noun phrase, with the exception of the unambiguously adjectival use "too galaxy brain." The weight of evidence is that this functions primarily as an adjective in actual usage. Defining it as a noun would be inconsistent with the available citations. (There are certainly noun uses to be found in the wild – "Inception gave me a galaxy brain" etc – but I didn't find any durably-archived examples.)
