Interesting thing about this word is how it seems to be most commonly used by linguist-type folk; this is probably due to its regular use on Language Log. —Muke Tever 15:40, 17 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

This was invented by Trevor of kalebeul. Mark Liberman reads Trevor, and he got it from him. It's typical of language bloggers to read each other. It's typical of Trevor to invent a term without making a song and dance about it.
