These defs were added by an IP anon, replacing the existing defs, which are valid.

  1. feeling dizzy or unsteady and as if about to fall down
  2. causing dizziness: causing dizziness or a feeling of unsteadiness climbed to a giddy height
  3. not sensible: not level-headed and sensible, but likely to act impulsively or behave foolishly ( dated )
The girls were giddy upon seeing the Rock star.

Some sense of "dizzy from height" does need to be added. Robert Ullmann 12:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does not also mean "happy or excited"? per freedictionary 71.170.153.116 17:57, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

No. It is often used in the sense of "dizzy with excitement", but it actually refers to the dizziness and not the cause of that dizziness. --EncycloPetey 18:01, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually, no. Look at the Meriam-Webster online definition number 2. It clearly has another meaning besides dizzy, which describes the meaning that Robert was talking about. BirdValiant 02:52, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
