These defs were added by an IP anon, replacing the existing defs, which are valid.

1. feeling dizzy or unsteady and as if about to fall down
2. causing dizziness: causing dizziness or a feeling of unsteadiness climbed to a giddy height
3. not sensible: not level-headed and sensible, but likely to act impulsively or behave foolishly ( dated )

   The girls were giddy upon seeing the Rock star.

No. It is often used in the sense of "dizzy with excitement", but it actually refers to the dizziness and not the cause of that dizziness. --EncycloPetey 18:01, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Actually, no. Look at the Meriam-Webster online definition number 2. It clearly has another meaning besides dizzy, which describes the meaning that Robert was talking about. BirdValiant 02:52, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
