{{vern}} links to WP and categorizes the page as one containing a vernacular organism name that enwikt does not have. From time to time I count instances of the names enclosed in {{vern}} and add the most common ones. When an entry is created for one of such vernacular names the entry is recategorized into Category:Entries with redundant template: vern, which category I check a few times on most days and empty after checking to vernacular name entry.
