Globohomo[edit]

The implication that this is an anti-homosexual slur is bizarre, it referred chiefly to a corporate art style with bland, two dimensional, sallow figures.  And then to the process of homogenization achieved through mass media and the deliberate dumbing down of society. Some primary source citations besides the left-wing attempt to misunderstand the term as an automatic outlaw status slur would be nice.

OK provide the "primary source" and stop whining that the left isn't providing it. You'd be equally annoyed if Leftie Jones said "this is Nazism unless rightie proves otherwise". Equinox 04:09, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

For the second and third definitions:

  1. Socially progressive values interspersed with neoliberal economic values.
  2. The Corporate Memphis art style.

I don't believe there's any usage of this term which can't be folded into the first definition ("the promotion and normalization of homosexuality, and support for other progressive values, by corporate and political interests"). Ioaxxere (talk) 04:30, 4 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Ioaxxere: Well yes, the second definition is redundant to the first, the third exists but is a replacement term (Verlegenheitswort)—I just have learnt from Wiktionary that this is a whole art style and there is a name Corporate Memphis, and after I linked the entry Corporate Memphis to someone on Telegram so he also partake in my discovery, he sent me that sticker-pack again containing specimens of this art titled by its creator “globohomo”, and in this fashion it appears only used only within unedited publications, i.e. social media, when research would lead them to a desired term, and so I would delete all anyway, noting that according to its contribution history several people edited none but this entry so are not really well-versed in conceptualizing a dictionary entry.
