Lair

I changed

• The lair of an animal, especially of a fox.

to

• The lair of an animal, especially of a otter.

The OED states "A place of refuge or abode; a lurking-place; an animal's lair or den, esp. that of an otter:" and of the two dictionaries given at the bottom of the section "Century Dictionary Online Lookup" mentions Otter while the other says "A deep hole in a river where there is protection for fish; also, a cover, a hole, or hiding place. The fox has gone to holt." C. Kingsley." This second one does not say especially for foxes, it just gives one example however the OED says especially otters, which is not surprising given the aquatic meaning also attributed to in in the other two dictionaries. -- Philip Baird Shearer 00:40, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
