I've found enough cites, even ones that explicitly give the definition, for me to be confident that this word is real and is not confined to just the tiny area where I grew up. The Google search bubble may have given me the impression that it was a New England localism since it showed me local businesses and news stories about local businesses. Though I wont add these cites unless it's questioned, since I want this page to be presented like we do blacktop. Please let me know if you have any questions.
