I believe it's of Scottish origin and is mostly colloquial (as in the whole jingbang). But yes it does exist. Jamesjiao 02:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Cited: it appears in James Joyce's well-known novel Ulysses. And the alternate spelling jing-bang appears in Robert Louis Stevenson's well-known novel Kidnapped; I'll add that shortly. —Ruakh_TALK 23:21, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
