Is kiwi in English also a bird from New Zealand? In Dutch it is.

You're absolutely right. I made a mistake here. In English it is the bird that is called a kiwi. The fruit is called kiwi fruit. Thanks for spotting my mistake. D.D.

plural[edit]

re plural, if you're talking about the bird we use kiwi as the plural example, but in the sense of people from NZ Kiwis. For fruit we say kiwifruit so it doesn't come up.103.29.31.116 00:02, 11 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
