Are we really going to trust that first citation just like that? The Old Saxon reflex of *krôgu would be *krôch, which exists in Low German. Neither ô -> u nor g (a fricative!) -> k is something I ever heard of. Korn [kʰũæ̃n] (talk) 06:15, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
