I removed SB's "mostly British" tag. The list of Project Gutenberg texts using the "largesse" spelling includes its fair share of American authors: Horatio Alger, Susan Coolidge, Charles Dudley Warner, Washington Irving, Bret Harte, Frances Hodgson Burnett, William Dean Howells, Henry Adams, O. Henry, Edna Ferber, Geraldine Bonner, Jack London, Edith Wharton, James Branch Cabell, William Dean Howells, John Fox, Jr., Christopher Morley, Sidney Lanier, Henry Timrod, Lew Wallace, ... (and probably many more after I gave up keeping track). Keffy 06:47, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
