I have found no citations on the internet for "link bait" being synonymous with "clickbait". The "strategy to attract links" sense is in common usage, the "provocative headlines designed specifically to persuade people to click" (clickbait) sense is not. If no citations can be found, then the second sense should be removed, and the "Synonyms" section should be changed to a "See Also" section (as they would not be synonyms). It just occurred to me that the "Examples" box lists an example that is based on this second sense, so if the second sense is found to be unverifiable, then the example box should also be removed. Maxlaumeister (talk) 08:21, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
