@Metaknowledge: Hi, you added in this edit that maida comes from Tamil, I can't find anything on this. Though the Hindi Shabdasagar does say that maida comes from Farsi. The etymology from Tamil seems incorrect to me. Gotitbro (talk) 17:54, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I don't know why I assumed at the time that Tamil was the direct source of the English word, but I suppose it's probably the case that Tamil and English both borrowed it from Hindi. I'll change it to Hindi accordingly. @AryamanAΜετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 18:48, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
