Talk:manticore

Someone added to the definition that the manticore shoots spikes from its mane — I didn't delete that but it seems the more conventional description is that it shoots from its tail (see, for example, w:Manticore). Are spikes from the mane a conventional variant, or something localized to a particular story, or what? —Muke Tever 18:26, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)
