Swahili etymology[edit]
Every published source I can find derives this from Portuguese, but it just occurred to me that Persian میز (mēz, “table”) is a very good fit as well. An interesting coincidence, if nothing more. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:36, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
