Untitled[edit]

The aircraft type in queastion is MiG and not mig. The famous Soviet fighter family was named after the two chief designers, Mikoyan and Grigoriev. Their names must always be capitalized - the same way as the aircraft named after them. (Nobody writes sikorsky helicopters : the are, of course, Sikorsky helicopters.) — This unsigned comment was added by Drago (talkcontribs) at 13:24, 7 April 2006‎.

Milligrams?[edit]

I get the sense that "migs" means "milligrams" (abbreviated "mgs"); try pronunciation "mgs". I get this idea from the usage of "migs" in two fictional medical dramas on Netflix:

  • Grey's Anatomy (I watched every episode and rate this show 1/10 stars)
  • Private Practice (didn't finish watching)

I'm not sure if this sense of "migs" is made-up/not-really-attested or not. Other meanings of mig/MIG in medicine: https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/MIG --User123o987name (talk) 21:11, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

My veterinary science teacher said "migs" too. Simplificationalizer (talk) 01:42, 6 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
