The word "mouf" is attributed to African-American Vernacular. A more accurate definition could read:
a pronunciation spelling of the word "mouth" by someone not distinguishing the "th" sound from the "f" sound
Social groups and individuals other than some African-Americans confuse the "th" and "f" sounds. Other examples include "teeth", "tooth", "booth", and "math" as well as the surname "Smith." Almorrow (talk) 01:26, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
