recently/lately[edit]

This used to say onlangs means recently or lately. Those words may have similar meanings but they are not interchangeable. "Ik heb hem onlangs nog gesproken" (fine) > "I have lately talked to him" does not sound right in English. "Ik heb onlangs mijn auto over laten spuiten" (fine) > "I have lately had my car resprayed" doesn't feel right. "I started dating him lately" (fine) > "Ik ben hem onlangs gaan daten" (sounds broken) "Ik date hem onlangs" (even worse) "Ik date hem sinds kort" (fine) "Ik ben hem recentelijk gaan daten" (fine) W3ird N3rd (talk) 11:07, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
