I need a German translation, please add it. I don't want to copy-paste it from an other dictionary, because I'm afraid a double translation would not be the best. May it be Ursprung? Ferike333 19:02, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

"The source of a river"[edit]
'The source of a river' is a special definition, and should not be generalized as the origin of most objects. Is it correct to say that the 'source of a river' is its 'origin'.
The 'source of a river' is where the most distant non-tributary water (b)reaches the surface(usually a spring(noun#6)).
The origin of the water in a river is its entire watershed or all of its tributary lakes & streams.
