Poor translation?[edit]
I came to this page to understand the following sentence: "Weil Herr Mustermann es vorzieht in FB zu pöbeln". I'm not convinced "to swear" works here or in any of the other contexts I've seen (e.g. https://context.reverso.net/translation/german-english/p%C3%B6beln). Duden offers the following description: provoke someone in public by making cheeky, insulting statements. Leo offers something similar: to make rude remarks (https://dict.leo.org/englisch-deutsch/p%C3%B6beln). I think both of these would be better, although I've only just encountered the word so I'm hesitant to change the page as there may be something I've missed. I'm also wondering if we have a more concise way to say this in English, but I'm not sure that we have a single word that can express this. --AstroMark (talk) 12:09, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
