Using the phrase pack animal to refer to pack hunters is a malapropism.
Because someone 6 years ago edited the page with that definition there has been a positive feedback loop of the misuse. Livingfractal (talk) 04:08, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- The phrase has been used with this meaning for at least half a century. Many books on dog behavior include the statement that "dogs are pack animals" (not referring to their historical role as beasts of burden). You should read our criteria for inclusion before you even think about removing definitions like that. Chuck Entz (talk) 05:41, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
