Possibly a hotword and Stormzy did call Mrs. May a paigon at the GQ men of the year awards. However, I'm not really satisfied with the quote. A quick Google Books search doesn't give me more confidence. --Robbie SWE (talk) 12:48, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've heard and seen "pagan" written in this slang sense, I'm not quite sure how somebody listening could have discerned the difference in spelling between that and "paigon" though. BigDom 13:02, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
There is a story in today's Guardian that gives the definition and another citation from J Hus. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/sep/06/stormzy-theresa-may-is-a-paigon-gq-awards. --Wavehunter (talk) 18:53, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
What's the etymology? DTLHS (talk) 19:20, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Found one more cite from 2013. Needs a regional label. DTLHS (talk) 19:30, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Another question: what degree of insult is it to call someone a paigon? DTLHS (talk) 19:32, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Never seen nor heard this word before, so I can't really help. I doubt though that this Stormzy quote, even if it has been cited in several newspapers, is enough. --Robbie SWE (talk) 19:47, 6 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
