Also a bulldog clip? (maybe)[edit]
Chambers 1908 has "paper-clip or letter-clip, an appliance with opening and closing spring, for holding papers together." Paper clips as defined in our entry (and as understood by me) do not have a spring, so perhaps this is a definition of bulldog clip. So are we missing that sense here, even if dated?
