I did a quick search, and the word seems to be in usage, but the primary usage seems to be the practice of being a paramedic. There were some quotes that seemed to be vaguely related to what is given in the entry, as well as some other stuff. In any case, it will need to be cleaned up and moved to paramedicine, I imagine.
