Yeah, you're right, let's keep the Wiktionary as compact as possible. I'll shorten the definition and move the rest of the article to Wikipedia.

I'm a little surprised, however, at the difference of policy between en.wiktionary and fr.wiktionary on the subject of "wikification". The latter wiktionary expects every single word used in any definition to link to the other words in the wiktionary. I take it en.wiktionary prefers only selected "keywords" be linked?

Thanks for the changes. I'm also surprised at what fr. is doing. I added a couple of very early entries there just as they're done here but then it took off on completely its own direction - as have the other language wikis which are active. C'est la vie. What with all the stoppages and harware problems the entire wiki site has been under, we decided here many months ago to keep links to a minimum to help ease the pressure on the overworked servers. Personally I wikify words lexically related to the headword, rare words which could benefit from advertising, and key words which need to be understood to understand the current article. — Hippietrail 12:11, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)
