Tagged by @Theknightwho but not listed. For what it's worth, I think this should be sent to RFV at worst. I don't think this can really be considered SOP if piss like a racehorse isn't. Binarystep (talk) 18:16, 16 September 2022 (UTC) Binarystep (talk) 18:16, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Keep: clearly exists as a synonym of the "Russian-less" version! RFV if required, but it's all over Google Books. Why was this RFDed? Equinox 18:18, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think I was in a grumpy mood, as this was added by the racist IP. I had assumed it was SOP and possibly racially motivated, but if it's really common then we can probably keep it. Theknightwho (talk) 18:23, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
RFD closed. It is really common. I will add 3 cites in a minute. Equinox 19:45, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
The etymology (according to Reddit) is that it's to do with giving horses diuretics on race days in order to make them slightly lighter - I have no idea if that's true (the claim or the connection to the phrase), but it's hilarious either way. Theknightwho (talk) 20:18, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Theknightwho: Looks good now, I hope. If you're an admin (aren't you?) you could have zapped it without discussion, if you were sure (always worth checking the GBooks). Also you don't need to stick the delete tag on every form, just the lemma. Removing inflections is assumed to be the deleter's responsibility. (Giving diuretics eh? Even I wouldn't get a horse drunk. Those things can kick.) Equinox 22:40, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am not an admin, but you're right. As you may be able tell from WT:RFDO, I've been quite short-tempered today, so I'll chalk this up to jumping the gun. I find that sometimes when I see (what looks like) utter horseshit, it can be easy to forget it still needs to plod through RFV. Theknightwho (talk) 22:47, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
