The plural of pons is not pontis. The plural is pontes. Pontis is the genitive and is what is normally listed in Latin dictionaries. I am not sure what is normally listed with Latin words at Wiktionary, so I did not edit it. But either we need to change the word plual to genitive, or we need to change pontis to pontes.—Red Prince 23:11, 7 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

The line should probably go the way I've amended it (which is how I generally do Latin words). —Muke Tever 23:33, 7 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Gender[edit]

The Latin word was feminine in Rhaetian and Galaecian Vulgar Latin. My etymological dictionary claims that this usage is attested in a 9th century document, but I was unable to find more information. — Ungoliant (falai) 18:44, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
