Possible missing sense[edit]

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) has "to get in a bad temper", related to the second noun sense at pucker. Hard to search for citations because of the other everyday sense. Equinox 11:09, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
