Nothing in Google Books yet, but this is now a term used in various unrelated software products for a feature that allows part of the content to "stick" to the top or bottom of the screen while scrolling — rather like "freezing" part of a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. It's mostly found in programming tools where you want to keep track of which function you are currently in, etc. Equinox 14:20, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
