Declension[edit]

From an older German book (~1840):
Strong declension of "selber" (weak declension is morphed into forms like derselbe):

Case Sg. Pl.
m. f. n.
Nom. selber selbe selbes selbe
Gen. selbes selber selbes selber
Dat. selbem selber selbem selben
Acc. selben selbe selbes selbe

While some grammar books include forms that didn't/doesn't exist (e.g. instead of beides (n.) and beide/beiden (pl.) also beider (m.) and beide (f.) or so), this form should be authentic. selber &c. might be dated or elevated, but that's no reason for exclusion (it should be included instead and maybe accompanied by note). -91.63.237.120 15:51, 17 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Organization[edit]

The current split into etymologies and content between selber and selbe is confusing. I'm proposing to merge the tables for strong and weak forms into selbe. Also it looks like the etymology split is not really needed, one seems to derive from the other. – Jberkel 23:07, 10 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
