Does anyone know an antonym for "Steep: of a high gradient"? --Bob. - gradual, sometimes shallow (of a descent).

If the sense (US) To make tea (or other beverage) by placing leaves in hot water. is US only, then what is the correct word in other countries? (Do they brew tea?) JillianE 17:46, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

In the UK we brew or just make tea (in a teapot). Steep is resrved for non-food processes such as extracting drugs from plants by soaking in hot water. SemperBlotto|Talk 17:59, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Steeply raked

A "steeply raked" windscreen is one that is close to horizontal (as in a sports car), not vertical. The underlying meaning here seems to be "sharply angled away from the conventional plane" (the original orientation of windscreens was vertical).
