Couldn't the spurious -c- come from an earlier *struhō ?

I think it's more likely to be analogous to words that had *gʷ. As seen in nīx, these words have an alternation between /w/ before vowels vs /k/ before consonants. —Rua (mew) 15:53, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
