Rfv-sense. Adjective. You could consider it in the phrase (deprecated template usage) être tôt as an adjective, or an adjective. I don't think (deprecated template usage) tôts, (deprecated template usage) tôte and tôtes are attestable, suggesting that this is adverbial use, not adjectival.
