Does not seem attested (WT:ATTEST) as an English proverb; I find it mentioned, but I do not find uses. google books:"the pitcher goes so often to the well, that it is broken at last". --Dan Polansky (talk) 18:02, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have added 3 instances of usage that span for a period of more than one year, thus passing WT:ATTEST. King Prithviraj II (talk) 12:32, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
The 2003 one is worded differently, so it doesn't count. It also doesn't help that you made several mistakes in copying the text, though you got the important part right. Another problem is that there are two definitions, and the quotes don't seem to support the second one. Chuck Entz (talk) 19:05, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
I replaced it with a better one and fixed your other two. It looks to me like the first definition is cited, but the second one is not to be found anywhere. Chuck Entz (talk) 20:44, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

RFV-resolved First definition passes, second fails. Kiwima (talk) 19:54, 24 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
