Etymology

Could *tinan be cognate with stannum - with the Latin word retaining the PIE s- prefix? Lyphatma 07:40, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Honestly, I wouldn't dare to raise my voice to the men on the street to whom the language belongs and not to the TDK, for it's Greek to them. Tinsel as an adjective was accepted to a certain degree with a grain of salt. Flāvidus (talk) 09:26, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
