The alternative spelling tonite (US only, probably informal and derived from nite) should be mentioned.

Uncountable?[edit]

¶ The first example sentence could imply this is uncountable; starting a sentence with “is tonight” would not be improper English. Is this term still an exception? --Pilcrow 13:10, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
