Sorry, I'm not very familiar with this particular Wiki - Please excuse any inadequacies in my formatting etc.

I was trying to look up the derivation of tosferina and tos convulsa (and to see whether they are true synomyms, and/or where, when, or why one is preferred to the other) before giving talks on whooping cough (in English - I'm from England with Spanish which is better than rudimentary, but not up to giving a lecture) in Venezuela and Peru. Other speaker's slides seem to refer to Coqueluche (which I think is the French word for the disease) and tos convulsa - which seems quite a nicely descriptive name.
