And what about the word towelling? It seems to stem from towel, but it seems to mean something like "a hotel-like service providing towels and ... something else?" I have not precise idea, but somebody else might have. --193.87.129.190 13:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

PIE root[edit]

PIE has phonemic /tʷ/ ??? Even if we assume he meant /tw/, I cant find that PIE root on any list. Soap (talk) 17:27, 30 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Finally I decided to just remove it, since it's apparently not attested outside Germanic, so the original PIE root, if there was one, is anybody's guess. Soap (talk) 04:19, 5 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
