Sense 2: "to make undecipherable". Equinox 01:34, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Looks hard to cite. @SemperBlotto as the creator. — Fytcha T | L | C 01:45, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Is this a kind of back-formation from undeciphered = "not deciphered" > "not able to be deciphered" > "having been made undecipherable"? I cited an adjective undeciphering = "that does not decipher", but that was the closest I could find. This, that and the other (talk) 04:06, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rfv-sense: "(transitive) To decipher." As pointed out in the Tea Room, use of undecipher to mean decipher seems to be an error in the only cite which has been provided. - -sche (discuss) 21:37, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Cited. There is also an instance of "the undeciphering" as a verbal noun in this sense here (second paragraph, penultimate sentence). —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 22:15, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
