Not the older sense (able to be unravelled) but the two new ones: (i) "Incapable of being ravelled (entwined or entangled)", (ii) "Incapable of ravelling (fraying or unwinding)". Note that the "ravelable" in their etymology is also a red link and possibly not a real word. Equinox 16:16, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Cited etym 2 sense 2. Just the etymology needed tweaking since, as you say, ravelable isn't a real word, but the OED has this antedating the "can be unravelled" sense. Cannot find much evidence of etym 2 sense 1, which seems improbable in actual use. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 10:24, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Al-Muqanna ravelable does appear to be real from a cursory look at GBooks. I'll have a look later, to see if it's possible to make an entry. Theknightwho (talk) 17:11, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Actually, there may just about be enough attestation for ravelable in reference to actual threads: [1], [2] (pdf, just search "ravelable"), [3]. But it's certainly not common or likely to be the etymon in this case. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 10:31, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sense 1 failed, sense 2 passed. —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 22:32, 4 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
